The last time we were all together, Mark & Joe had just arrived from Washington, DC to surprise her on Valentine’s Day 2003. Not feeling very well, she brightened up hearing us play cards in the nearby dining room. Before we knew it, Laura was somehow making her way to the table to join us, giving us all one last memory of the way she taught us to live: enjoying each other’s company with laughter and love. We continue to raise our families in that tradition.
